Nursing and Allied Health Staffing Survey
The health care workforce shortage is a constant battle for Montana facilities to fight. MHA continually conducts the Workforce Staffing Survey to help determine the severity of a workforce shortage among Montana health care providers. This survey primarily focuses on RNs and Allied Health Professionals.
The Vacancy Rate was calculated by the number of respondents who reported vacant positions at the time of completing the survey and divided by the total budgeted FTE positions for each specific job. The Turnover Rate was calculated by the number of respondents who reported the number of employees leaving in the past 12 months divided by the total budgeted FTE positions for each specific job.
